Disney princess elsa from frozen

So I watched frozen for the first time on Sunday and I loved it!!! More to the point I loved princess elsa!!
I loved how it teaches us that our true love doesn't have to be a man it can be your family. It made me appreciate my sisters that little bit more.

I decided to recreate her hairstyle and makeup look.

To achieve the makeup look I used the following:

Eyes:
Mac pigment in - push the edge
Mac pigment in - vanilla
Maybelline gel liner
Eyelashes - ardell Demi wispies

Face:
Mac studio fix fluid - nw13
Mac pressed powder -light
Sleek contour pallet -light
Mac blusher - petal power
Mac highlighter - soft n gentle
Mac fix plus spray to set everything.

Lips:
Look beauty lipstick - toffee cup
L.a colour gloss - Popsicle dream

For the hair i back combed the top of my head and then I clipped in my foxy locks extensions in colour caramel ( I half coloured them to match my hair. )

Once placed I back combed the front of my hair ( around the face. ) I placed my rollers in this section and lightly sprayed with hairspray.

I then done a scalp braid taking thick sections. Once braided and pulled out at the root to create more volume. I then took my rollers out and back combed some more and sprayed in place.

I hope this has helped let me know some of your designs for frozen :)

Bronze shimmer

Thought I would share with you my bronzer shimmer look I done today!!

Seeing as summer is approaching soon I thought why not do a nice summer look for you guys :)

To create this look I used:

Mac prep n prime stick in lightboost
Mac fix fluid foundation in nw13
Look beauty Hollywood bronzer
Mac petal power blusher
Mac soft n gentle highlighter
Mac fix plus spray
Front cover baked powder in brickbat
Mac pigment just before dawn
Maybeline gel liner
Loreal telescopic mascara
Look beauty toffee cup lipstick

Okay to start this look I primed and moisturised as usual. I tend to do my eyes first then my face but you can do which ever way round you feel comfortable with.

I sprayed my brush with fix spray from mac before pressing into my eyeshadow. It makes it extra pigmented and easy to apply and set. I cover my whole lid with 'brickbat' from front cover. I then use my mac pigment in shade 'just before dawn' and apply on the outer corner of my eye and blend blend blend!! Then applied maybeline gel liner with a couple coats of loreal mascara.

Once the eyes are done I spray the mac fix spray over them to set.

So moving to the face. I used mac prep n prime stick under my eyes and up towards my upper cheekbones. I then used mac fix fluid foundation all over. Taking my contour brush I used my look beauty bronzer under my cheekbones, jawline and outlined my nose. I then applied my mac blusher on the apples of my cheeks. I love shimmer and glitter so I always highlight my cheekbones, today I used mac soft n gentle on my cheekbones and under the brow.

To soften the look I used a natural nude lipstick. I used my ultimate fave toffee cup from look beauty. I tend to use a lip balm underneath for that extra moisture.

I hope you all enjoy this summer look and let me know what you think :)

Makeup tutorial ... Which one?!

These are three of my fave makeup looks I was thinking of doing a look like one of these and re-creating it on myself and post products Ect on here.

I need you guys help... Which one shall I re-create?!? Comment below please

Look beauty haul

Afternoon tangled head it's been a while since I last blogged but I have been soooo busy with work!!

I wanted to share with you my new faves and sadly enough it's all going to be discontinued :(

All these goodies are from look beauty which is available at superdrug. Right now it is all half price but trust me it's worth getting before they get rid of it all!!

I brought at the weekend a few things from there range:

Holiday glow bronzer in Hollywood shade 1
Skin fix it in shade light
Loud lips lipstick in shade 4 toffee cup

Holiday glow:

I see it there for half price and instantly fell in love!! It's like a golden glittery bronzer it's beautiful. I have used it everyday I love it that much. It's lovely for a good contour or even a summery glow. I'm Defo going to be picking up a couple more before they are all gone. 10/10

Skin fix it:

This pallet involves foundation, concealer and highlighter. To be honest I brought it to add to my kit. All three are cream textures. I tried it and loved it. I didn't use the foundation as a foundation I used it to highlight areas on my face it blended lovely. The concelear isn't the best to cover BUT it is good to put over the top of foundation somehow it looks more natural and not so cakey? and it sits well under the eyes. The highlighter is a pale pink shimmer. I was abit unsure due to it being creamy but wow I was mistaken!! I love it. I put it just under my eyebrows, bridge of nose and on my cheekbones. It's a lovely shimmer.  8/10

Loud lips lipstick:

My faveourite ever lipstick is toffee cup!!! No matter what I go back to it all time. I prefer it to mac and that's saying something!!! It's a soft creamy beige pink colour. It goes on lovely!! I put my vitamin e lip balm underneath for extra moisture then apply the lipstick. I can't explain how much I love it it's just the perfect texture, colour and affordable. I will be gutted when they discontinue it I gave 3 to keep me going but need to stock up :( you won't be disappointed with this one. 10/10

I'm not sure if superdrug are planning to revamp it with new packaging rather than get rid of completely but I hope they do keep it :(

Mac fix plus, volcanic ash exfoliate and limited edition blusher from fantasy of flowers. Review:

Afternoon tangled heads!

I'm so so pleased to write this review for you as I am very chuffed with these purchases.

I will start with the mac plus spray:

I been dying to test this for ages!! Pay day arrived and I thought I am definatly getting this! For some reason my face goes so oily when I wear foundation. Even with primer and matte powder to set it. I heard it was good before you apply makeup and after to set it all into place. I also heard its brilliant to set glitter.

So I used this yesterday and today. I applied my primer then the spray I let it set before applying my foundation and powder. Once applied I sprayed the fix plus and let it set. I found my skin looks so refreshed and it set my makeup perfectly. It says top up if needed but I haven't once needed too! I love it. It leaves a lovely soft finish and I'm surprised I haven't brought it sooner!

I also applied this to my eyeshadow brush then put loose glitter on my brush and applied to me eyes. It stayed put, no glitter fell onto my face and it didn't sink into my creases which normally happens.

I must say I am very impressed with this product.

Volcanic ash exfoliator:

I heard this was meant to wonders for your skin. I got a sample from mac and was impressed with it. My skin felt super soft and amazing.

I have used this twice now before bed and moisturise after as normal and I have noticed a huge difference already. Especially in my makeup my face books so smooth I love it.

If you buy it don't go too mad with it like over use it! 1-3 times a week is enough!!

Petal power mineralize blush:

I was soooo surprised when I ordered my order from Mac Pro to see this product. Online it was out of stock and in shops. I was so desperate to find it. When I rung up they said there's a few left in the warehouse and she said its 50/50 if I get it or not. And I got it!!

It's from their new range fantasy of flowers and it's just the most beautiful blusher in the world.

It's a lovely shade of pink with gold glitter specs in. I was sold to it immediately!!! I love glitter and this was just perfect for me.

It looks lovely on and I'm so greatful that I have it. If you get your chance to pick one up you will not be disappointed.

Happy shopping mac lovers :)

Barbie mac collection

So for this makeup inspiration I opted for the ultimate barbie!!

I was excited when this range came out from mac. I was so gutted I didn't get any from the collection as I couldn't afford any mac makeup :(

I tried to create this look using other mac pigments as I obviously had nothing from this range.

So for this look I used mac on my eyes:

I used glided green pigment on my lid and under my lower lash line.
I used pinch o peach blusher on brow bone
I used most darling pigment on my crease

I love the colour contrast from the green to the pink. I love how girly the makeup is and how bright it is. I love barbie and anything pink so I thought I just had to give this a go!!

Let me know what your thoughts are or if there is any looks you would like me to create

A tartan tale collection by Mac

I thought I would review this product for you even those this was from Macs tartan tale collection which was in 2010 I think you will benefit from reading this review.

I recieved this from my old boss as a Christmas present this was in actual fact my very first thing from mac!

To be honest I didn't use it that much as I wasn't into much eye makeup back then, but right now this is still my fave set to go to do my eye makeup.

I believe you could get loads of different colours and sets from this range from lip glosses to pigments and even brushes.

The set comes in a tarten tin and comes with four beautiful pigments and one stunning glitter:

Gift o glamour pigment ( bronze shimmer )
Glided green pigment ( green/teal shimmer )
Most darling pigment ( brown with little specs of glitter )
Reflects bronze glitter ( literally a really glittery bronze/gold glitter )
Gold mode pigment ( pale gold shimmer )

I have had this set for over 4 years and not one of these pigments/glitter is half empty. In fact it's just made a small dent in it!

I wanted to share this to say you will not EVER waste your money on pigments and glitter by Mac. What is even better is these are smaller sized pigments they're not full sized, so that just shows you get value for money if the smaller ones haven't all gone after 4 years of use!

You don't need a lot on your brush to apply to your eyes either and it stays on your eyes beautifully without going liney or look worn. I love how shimmery and glittery the colours are and how well they blend.

I don't know if you can buy these colours separately or it was just a Christmas limited edition selection but trust me you won't be disappointed with any of these colours!

My favourite ones I use a lot is probably the most darling pigment and the reflects bronze glitter. Only because I use natural colours more and I like the depth of the brown for my crease on my eye and the glitter for a night out for a dramatic yet girly look.

Defiantly worth the money with Mac and let me know what your favourite mac glitters and pigments are :)

Nominated for the Liebster award

Okay so I got nominated twice for this Liebster award. So thankyou too And Thank you both for nominating me.

And

http://doodleanddaydream.blogspot.co.uk

3. What is your favourite book? Surprisingly Harry potter will always be my fave. I remember reading the first one every night before bed and I couldn't put it down. My mum used to always tell me off saying I won't get up for school! I love the magic and mystery of it all.

The body shop Vitamin E review

I been seeing everywhere about the vitamin E overnight serum-in-oil and been dying to try some and finally got my hands on it.... Well and more as you can see above!

I went into oxford yesterday to purchase it. It retails at £12. I saw a gift pack for £16 including the serum and the vitamin E intense moisture cream. When I went to the till they said for two pound more you can get a free gift bag worth £22.50. So of course being a girl I said yes please!

I picked up the vitamin E lip care stick for £4. In this free gift I received a mascara, eyeliner, vitamin E masque hydration intense and vitamin E cream cleanser.

So I took my makeup off and then tried the cream cleanser. I must say it picked up the left over gunk on my face and left it feeling soft. Best thing is you don't need a lot of it. I then used the masque. The texture of the masque isn't what I expected I thought it would be a thick texture. It came out watery almost like liquid. I applied to skin as directed and then wiped off with tissue as directed. I felt my skin afterwards and it felt amazing. I was completely taken back by it.

I then used the vitamin E moisture lip care. It is quite nice, but I found I had to apply quite a bit to feel it on my lips? But this may be because I'm used to using Carmex which is perfect as I put on plenty to keep my lips moistured. However my lips did feel conditioned in the end and felt soft.

I then moisturised my face with the intense cream. The texture is so think and smells gorgeous. I applied it and then put on the overnight serum. It  may look quite greasy once applied but don't be fooled it's a lightweight formula. I woke up today and my skin felt amazing. It has a lovely glow and feels and looks hydrated and soft.

What I like about these products are that they are affordable and honestly I was shocked at how well they worked and done exactly what it says on the packaging. I'm looking forward to seeing the results in a week.

Hope this helped :)

Ted Baker rose gold set - re-edit due to deleting

This is a Ted baker set I received for Christmas and to much surprise I love it!

The set includes:
Bronzer
Liquid illuminator
Liquid golden shimmer
Bronzer brush

So I saw this and thought I need to have it! One because it's rose gold and two it is so glittery!! So my lovely fiancΓ© got it me for Christmas.

So the packaging is so beautiful it's so pretty. The bronzer is in a rose gold case and the brush is in a stunning rose gold holder. So of course I was sold!!

The bronzer is not only lovely to look at but lovely to use on your face. It has different shades of glitter brown with a TB written over it in pure gold glitter. It's so glittery and is a lovely bronzer.

The liquid illuminator and golden shimmer are abit like nail polishes. When you open the lid the brush is joint to it. The illuminator is more like a highlighter. So I apply tops of cheeks, under eyebrows and Cupid's bow. I love the highlighter! You only need a small amount. As it's liquid I apply it by dabbing it on my finger and patting it on the bits I want to highlight. With the golden shimmer its more lime a liquid bronzer. I haven't got to grips with it yet as I find it hard to not make it look patchy?! It's a shame as it's such a nice colour but it like absorbs in to your skin and leaves a hideous patch?! Until I find a right way of applying it I will leave it in my makeup box. If I find a way I will let you know.

The brush is also amazing! I loved how it has a hot pink dip dye. The bristles are so soft and it glides lovely on my face. Defiantly one I grab to apply my bronzer or blusher!

Overall I loved this set. Especially as it's from ted baker I was very impressed with the packaging, the look of the products and the actual products... Maybe minus the golden shimmer. But this set is definatly recommendable.

Gold smokey eye - re-edit from deleting

So I created a smoke eye with a nice gold shimmer just to soften it up :) I used mainly colours from my mac green and teal nocturnal set. Which is posted and reviewed below.

For this look I used :

Mac deep blue green pigment
Urban decay half baked
Mac glitter 3d gold
Loreal false lash telescopic mascara
Maybelline gel line in intense black

Okay so I primed my lids with urban decay original eye primer. I then started with the dark colour so the mac deep blue green pigment just on the outer eye, crease and under outer lower lash line. I then used half baked on my lid and inner lower lash line. I blended it all together.

I then used my glue wand from majenta which helps set the glitter. You could use fix spray instead. I patted it on my lid and under inner lower lash line. I then patted the 3d gold glitter on top of the glue. If you struggled with this collection 2000 do a lovely gold in glam crystals and it's a gel liner so really easy to apply.

I then lined my eyes with maybelline eyeliner and coated my lashes in loreal mascara. And there you have it a nice shimmer gold smokey eye.

Green with envy with full face makeup - re-edit due to deleting

So again sorry for deleting so this time you got a full face makeup with this look aswell.

I done this look around Christmas time. I think I did this for am illmasqua competition involving glitter which they has on Instagram over Christmas.

So to try this look I used:

Mac pigment in glided green
Mac pigment in vanilla
Collection 2000 glam crystals in spandex
Maybelline gel liner in intense black
Loreal False lash telescopic mascara
Eyelure lashes in Cheryl

On my face I used:

Majenta primer
Mac studio fix fluid in nw13
Ted baker bronzer
Body shop blusher in shade 01 petal
Maybelline colour sensational lipstick in rosy dream
Lime crime lipgloss In snowcicle

Okay so some people do eyes first than face but I usually do my eyes first to avoid any accidents with glitter.

So I started by priming my face and lids with majenta primer. I got this in a boutique in oxford so I'm unsure if you able to buy any online or if there is one local to you.

I then swiped mac glided green pigment all over my lid and added more to the outer eye and crease to add definition. I then added mac vanilla to the inner corner of my eye and blended into the glided green to add shimmer.

I then used collection 2000 glam crystals. I love these sticks! It's so easy to use and apply and sets straight away. So I used spandex which is green with tiny gold specs in. I put under my lower lash line. I then put my maybelline eyeliner on the top lash line and put spandex over the top.

I then apply my eyelashes and do a coat of mascara. This is optional but I sprayed my eyes with fix spray to keep everything in place.

I applied my foundation with real technique stippling brush starting from jawline working my way into my face. I then applied my bronzer just under my cheekbones and my blusher on my cheeks.

To finish the look I used a pinky lipstick to make it more girly and not so dramatic. I coated it with a clear glitter gloss from limecrime.

There you have it perfect evening eyes :)

Happy valentines day - re-edit as I deleted my previous entry

Happy valentines day!!

I can now tell you since my entry got deleted that I had a lovely cooked meal and a lovely pudding. Much to my surprise my fiancΓ© got me a bunch of flowers and chocolates with a beautiful card. So surprised as usually we don't share gifts.

For my look tonight I used my no7 pallet on my eyes and will probably review it later in the week for you. I can't tell you the colours as they aren't listed on pallet. I used a glitter brown blended into a creamy pink.

I used my trusty mac studio fix fluid foundation with mac warm and soul bronzer and a hint of body shop blusher in shade 01 petal. I set all my look with rimmel stay Matt powder.

My hair I used my foxy locks extensions and done a cute lil French braid. I thought it was a nice girly look for valentines day.

I hope you all had a lovely evening and feet spoilt just like I did :)

The art of contouring- My re-edit due to deleting by accident

Okay so I accidentally deleted all my blog entries HOW I don't know!!!! I'm going to try and re-do them as best I can.

This one is about contouring and highlighting. I have always said since Kim kardashian posted the picture of her face with all these lines in different colours the makeup world went crazy!!!

Now to get the Kim kardashian look there's no wrong or right way in doing it. Some contour with powder some do it with foundation. It's up to you and what you feel comfortable with.

Today my tools are:

Primer
Prep n prime stick by Mac in lightboost
Concealer pallet
Studio fix fluid by Mac
Sleek contour pallet
Soft n gentle by Mac
Rimmel stay Matt powder
Real technique stippling brush

Okay so some people put foundation on first then contour and others do the contour first then foundation it just depends up to you on what you find best.

First things first I prime my face!!

I then start with the highlight. I apply this under my eyes, cheeks, nose, Cupid's bow, under eyebrows, forehead and chin. In my picture that is the lighter colour. To highlights I used my prep n prime stick by Mac. Your highlighter has to be at least two shades lighter than your skin tone.

I then use my concealer pallet to contour. I got my pallet from ebay it has about 8 light-dark colours. I used the third darkest and put it under my cheekbones, on the edge of nose leading to eyebrows, jawline and temples. In my picture that is the dark brown you can see. The contour has to be at least two shades darker than your skin tone.

I then use my Mac studio fix fluid and put abit on my stippling brush. Working from jawline into my face I blend all the colours together.

Once complete I take my sleek contour pallet which includes a brown powder, highlighting powder and blusher. I apply the brown onto the parts you contoured and blend in. You can use bronzing powder to do this.

This but is optional. I then take my mac soft n gentle and apply on my cheekbones to create more definition.

I then apply my blusher from my sleek pallet on to the apples of my cheeks. To finish my look I set with rimmel stay matte powder on my forehead and chin.

I hoped this helped as much as my previous blog on this. I'm sooo sorry for all this I will try upload some tomorrow :)

OMG IM DEVASTATED

For some reason my blog has deleted half of my blog 😩😩😩😩😩😩😩

I'm truly devastated it has taken me ages to write and do photos I just want to cry πŸ˜₯πŸ˜₯πŸ˜₯πŸ˜₯πŸ˜₯πŸ˜₯.

Mac pigment - Christmas sets

I was so pleased when I received the bottom one for Christmas. The purple and pink set features 2 glitters and 3 pigments. I love each one of them. I use ' vanilla ' the most. Such a perfect shimmer for a highlight or for the inner corners of your eyes. You only need a small amount, trust me it goes a long way.

The top set which is green and teal which I was very lucky finding. I found it on the debenhams website. Again it features 2 glitters and 3 pigments. What I most loved about this set is the ' 3d gold ' it's so so glittery this picture does not do it justice.

They also done a black and gold set which I wasn't lucky enough to get my mitts on. But I'm sure that set is just as good as these two!

With the glitters you need either a glitter glue stick or fix spray to set on to eyes. The pigments set well over eyeshadow primer or concealer.

Defiantly worth a buy I love macs Christmas sets and they are a good price considering what you get.

They retailed at £25 each.

' soft and gentle' by mac

I have seen so much hype about " soft and gentle " by mac. Omg it's just amazing! I use this product to highlight my cheekbones. The shimmer and glitter on the product is amazing! The best thing about it is you only need a small amount and it goes far. For £22.00 it is defiantly worth it as it will last you such a long time. To apply it I use a blusher brush but some people use their fingers or even a contour brush. There's no right or wrong way of applying it. For me I'm 100% buying this again. Love it!

Marc Jacobs - daisy

I received this stunning perfume in a gift set for Christmas. Marc Jacobs is probably one of my favourite designs for perfume bottles not only does it smell nice it looks nice. I think it ranged from £45-50 for the box set had it comes with shower wash and lotion again both smelling incredible. Defiantly worth a purchase if your after a spring fragrance.
